Tournaments held on Fridays 3

Friday opens the Egyptian weekend, and three Giza series use it for rapid tournaments. The Haram Sigma events carry running numbers in their titles; the notice of the edition dated 16 October 2026 gives a start at half past three in the afternoon and an entry fee of 200 pounds, with a reduced fee for some categories.

Golden Knight, whose autumn 2025 events carried the name of Dokki, put the Arabic word for Friday into the titles of its rapid events through 2025 and into 2026. Golden Nine, listed from August 2026, keeps Friday for rapid and adds blitz on Mondays and classical games on Sundays. None of the three names its hall on its event pages, so the exact venue is a question for the organiser before the trip.
